‘Margues Blaves’, by Cicuta, winner of the 4th IF Barcelona – Fira Mediterrània de Manresa Creation Open Call

The winning project of the 4th IF Barcelona – Fira Mediterrània de Manresa Creation Open Call, which supports visual theatre, object theatre and puppetry projects rooted in memory, heritage and tradition, is ‘Margues Blaves’, by the company Cicuta, formed by Adrià Aparicio and David Font.
The project transforms a family archive and a geological landscape into an object-based dramaturgy in which memory is expanded, eroded, layered and reconstructed before the audience.
Within this theatrical device, memory is manipulated, projected, listened to and transformed. Fossils, maps, drawings, photographs, personal objects, archival videos and fragments of recorded voices become stage presences.
The project will premiere in 2027 at Fira Mediterrània and IF Barcelona. It is developed in collaboration with El Canal – Centre de Creació d’Arts Escèniques de Salt/Girona, Convent de les Arts d’Alcover, L’Estruch – Fàbrica de Creació de les Arts en Viu de Sabadell, and Fabra i Coats – Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona. The project is also supported by Margarida Troguet, who accompanies its curatorial and creative development process.
