Programme 2026

TALK ‘FOLLOW YOUR BLISS: CREATING A SHOW THROUGH PHYSICAL EXPERIMENTATION’, led by André-Anne LeBlanc, from SNAFU.

4 nov | 18 h | Institut del Teatre (BCN) | Free |

Talk held as part of the 50th anniversary of Visual Theatre at the Institut del Teatre.

This talk explores the process of creating a performance through a series of decisions about what to stop doing: suspending judgement on ideas, allowing time for experimentation, and making room for play and mistakes. The manipulation of objects and materials serves as the starting point for an exploration in which forms, characters and narratives gradually emerge. Meaning takes shape throughout the process or remains open to each audience member’s interpretation.

Humour, joy and the pleasure of creating drive this way of working, guided by curiosity and intuition. The aim is to leave room for discoveries without anticipating the outcome. Words and writing come into play when the process itself calls for them, helping to shape the material that emerges through experimentation.

On 3 and 4 November, André-Anne LeBlanc will also lead a training workshop for students at the Institut del Teatre as part of the clowning course. This workshop is part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Visual Theatre at the Institut del Teatre.
