BLUE, by Juan Domínguez
In Blue, Juan Domínguez dismantles theatrical conventions to propose a sensory and open experience, where there is no narrative to follow and no predetermined meanings. The stage becomes a space of suspension and possibility, inhabited by bodies that do not tell stories but embody them.
Here, understanding is unnecessary: just look, allow yourself to be affected, and imagine. The performers present themselves as living devices, ready to sustain the audience’s projections, embracing desires, deliriums, and unanswered questions.
Blue invites us to observe without seeking explanations, allowing perception and meaning to emerge freely from the stage and from each of us.
Juan Domínguez is an artist, creator, and organizer in choreography and performing arts, based between Berlin and Mexico City. He defines himself as a conceptual clown, magical porcelain cowboy, model-poet, unbound narrator, and curator of pleasure.
Since 1992, he has produced his own work, exploring theatre as a medium and redefining the parameters of dance—body, time, space, and language. His work emphasizes the participatory aspect of live art, seeking new ways to understand responsibility, commitment, and co-authorship among all involved.
