Programme 2025

PROJECTE PREGUNTA, by Pedro Sepúlveda (Opening)

Nov 21 | 1 p.m. | La Caldera (Barcelona) | Free |

After the three durational activations, taking place on Nov 3, 5 and 8 (from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in Les Cortsneighbourhood (Plaça Comas, Parc de la Colònia Castells and Mercat de les Corts), a final opening will be held with all the people involved in the process (artists, students and neighbours) on the street and on La Caldera’s façade, on November 21.

With Projecte Pregunta, Pedro Sepúlveda activates a citizen participation project focused on the collective generation, visualisation and dissemination of public debates in shared spaces.

La Caldera celebrates its 30th anniversary together with allies such as IF Barcelona, projecting the body into the future and hosting the nomadic programme Imaginative Choreographic Center (ICC).
An international long-term project (developed from and in collaboration with Teatre Artesà) focused on processes of imaginative institutionalisation in the field of choreography and dance, led by artists, mediators and curators Aleksandar Georgiev, Darío Barreto, Zhana Pencheva and Ida Daniel, along with other national and international collaborators invited throughout the process.

ICC – La Caldera 30 Years + Festival IF Barcelona also present Projecte Pregunta by Pedro Sepúlveda: an installative and participatory device created with the inhabitants of Les Corts.
An operation that unfolds throughout the neighbourhood and the district, bringing methodologies for the creation and collection of questions to La Caldera and to dance, on the occasion of the project’s 30th anniversary.

Pedro Sepúlveda is part of the multidisciplinary collective Mil M2, based in Santiago de Chile. The collective brings together six artists (Cecilia Moya, Maria-Jose Jana, Maria-Constança Carvajal, Pedro Sepúlveda, Fernando Portal and Diego Cortés) from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, including performance, architecture, design, sculpture, graphic design and critical urbanism.
Since 2014, through Mil M2, they have developed artistic processes that enable civic and political debates in public space.

Projecte Pregunta is a sensitive tool that does not provide answers.

It explores doubt, questioning, uncertainty, curiosity, problem, mystery, hypothesis, the unknown, the moving idea, conjecture, possibility, presumption, assumption, figuration, probability, theory, suspicion, enigma, the incognito, uncertainty…

Projecte Pregunta does not have the answer.
