IF Barcelona a Santa Coloma de Gramenet

In 2017 IF Barcelona begins a collaboration with the Municipality of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, which from this year on will become one of the hubs for the festival’s exhibition and mediation activities

The Festival will involve various municipal venues in Santa Coloma: Teatre Sagarra, el Centre d’Art Contemporani Can Sisteré and the Central Library. IF Barcelona will provide the citizens of Santa Coloma with a range of activities related to the world of figure theatre, aimed at different audiences:

 

From Tuesday 14 to Saturday 18 November:

The object manipulation laboratory Em falten dits offered by Xavier Bobés.

A creative, intergenerational laboratory for object manipulation focusing on the idea of time that escapes, flees and vanishes.

Intensive schedule of 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Venue: Teatre Sagarra

From 16 to 18 November:

The installation of virtual reality device Library of ourselves. Created by the BeAnotherLab group.

This system aims to promote empathy between people through a virtual library of stories and memories of people at risk of social exclusion.

Schedule: Thursday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Venue: Central Library (hall)

From 17 to 19 November:

Presentation of Cases by Xesca Salvà.

A series of three interactive models focusing on how we experience intimacy, told by different groups of women. Three different experiences (of about fifteen minutes each) between two people.

Schedule: Friday and Saturday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Venue: Teatre Sagarra.

From 17 to 19 November:

Performing installation El Tríptic by David Espinosa

The artist proposes some “Toys for adults” where every viewer can build their own show based on their interactions.

Schedule: Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Sunday from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm

Venue: Centre d’Art Contemporani Can Sisteré

 

17 November:

Storia di Paladini di Francia, by the company Opera dei Pupi Brigliadoro. Salvatore Bumbello (Palermo, Sicily).

A show of Pupi, traditional Sicilian puppets, and one of the oldest forms of puppet culture that has lasted to this day, protected by UNESCO as an intangible heritage of humanity.

Schedule: 9:00 pm

Venue: Teatre Sagarra

Performance in Italian and Sicilian

19 November:

El traje del emperador, by the company Siesta Teatro (Granada).

Object theatre show suitable for all ages from 7 years. The Emperor’s New Clothes is a staging of an allegory regarding contemporary society based on the story by Count Lucano.

Schedule: 11:30 am to 1:00 pm (double session)
