Starting from the concrete experience of touching clay with the hands, Juan Domínguez proposes, in this performative and participatory installation, paying attention to senses beyond sight, such as touch and hearing.

The work explores a form of listening through contact, and contact as a form of knowledge. Two questions run through the piece: what do I hear when I touch? What do I touch when I listen? The work reflects on the importance of what happens between bodies as they listen and touch together.

Juan Domínguez is an artist, creator, curator and educator working in the fields of choreography and live arts. He lives and works between Berlin, Mexico City and Madrid. Since 1992, he has developed a practice that explores theatre as an expanded medium, questioning the boundaries of dance and performance through research into the body, time, space and perception. He has created numerous works and has developed an extensive curatorial and programming practice.
