As part of the community celebration marking the International Day of Caregivers, El gest compartit is presented: a co-creation project that aims to create spaces for leisure, creativity and social interaction for people caring for dependent family members, while highlighting the value of care work and its essential role in our society.

The project has developed through a shared creative process with a group of caregivers, supported by La Gloria Factoria, which led mosaic workshops using the trencadís technique, and Teatro en Movimiento Callejerx, which facilitated a space for creation and experimentation through performance and object theatre.

The project was initiated by the Poble-sec and Font de la Guatlla Social Services, CAP Les Hortes and La Comunitària, in collaboration with IF Barcelona and with the support of the Government of Catalonia and Barcelona City Council. The community celebration also involves the collaboration of the Poble-sec Community Plan, the Sants-Montjuïc District and various neighbourhood organisations and collectives.
