Programme 2026

LABOR, by Pepe Seguí / Objectes Perduts (IF Barcelona expanded programme)

17, 18, 19, 20 nov | 20 h | Antic Teatre (Barcelona) | Buy tickets |

Drawing on the ideas expressed by William Morris in his lectures, and through the manipulation of objects, small automata and period audiovisual material, the audience is invited to reflect on how modern labour and consumer structures have been linked to forms of slavery, in which individual freedom, creativity and a sense of community have been crushed in favour of a system that places economic profit above all else.

Pepe Seguí. After spending more than ten years as a member of CaboSanRoque, with whom he created, premiered and performed nearly ten original productions, and after more than ten years away from the theatre spotlight, though never from creative work, he embarked on a new stage in 2022. This journey culminates in the creation of Labor, a performance that takes us back to those fragile beginnings, far removed from artifice.
