Based on an unpublished work by Ramón Gómez de la Serna, Víctor Colmenero Mir explores the relationship between childhood, representation, and the learning of violence. Se necesita un pantalón (A Pair of Trousers Is Needed) tells the story of a puppeteer who, tired of the brutality of his puppets, decides to replace one of them with a real child. The attempt to modify the plot of the puppet theatre fails, and the child ends up in hospital. The piece takes the tradition of garrot puppetry as its starting point to question how societies learn to exercise violence through their representations.

Víctor Colmenero Mir explores operations and phenomena of the stage, understanding it as a space for gathering, rehearsal, desire, conspiracy, intimacy, or political and ethical training. He holds a degree in Scenography and has continued his training at Escola SUD and Scuola Conia, directed by Claudia Castellucci. He has collaborated with artists such as Itziar Barrio, Cristina Mejías, Alberto Cortés, and Luis López Carrasco, while also developing his own artistic practice in contexts such as Matadero Madrid, La Caldera, La Casa Encendida, Vaga Açores, and CA2M.
